Week 1-three words
1. The theme of this project is ‘futurism’. The work finished in my foundation studies. It is based on Giacomo Balla’s art work ‘Shape Noise Motorcyclist’(1913). Each pieces spins upward to one destination and finally converges at a point. Using the metal-colored material is shown ‘speed’ which is one of characteristics in futurism.
2. The Dancing House is one of the interesting work made by Frank Gehry. The building uses a combination of wavy and modern elements to show active. The building consists of a cylindrical body and a conical glass tower, like two human figures entangled together. What’s more, its neighborhood are all in old style that can show modernity and boldness of Gehry‘s work.
3.This photo was taken on the balcony of the house I rented last year. The scenery is good and the coogee sea view can be seen. This photo was taken at 4:00am on one day of November. Sun just emerged from sea level. Dark-blue color sky and the light of sun form a wonderful gradient. However there was not enough light to illuminate the object in front of me that trees and the house under the hill just show their silhouettes.
